Hi all, I have a strange issue with my card.

Let Me explain, I play any game and fg. Card temp is 72 degree(celcius) fan rpm are 1800 and fan controller report 50%. But once my card hit 74 degrees fans automaticly kick to 3900rpms and hold that speed until temp drop to 73. In that time fan controller shows 60% which is not right as when I did tests 3900 rpms are 100% fan. I have tried precisionx and afterburner fan curve but once card hit 74 degrees it kicks in to full speed. What should I do to prevent it? I have latest bios and tried different drivers, bios version: 90.04.0B.40.BA

What do you mean saying normal? Card is under thermal limit etc so it should not behave like that.

I had a 2080 ti ftw3 vbios loaded to my 2080 ti xc gaming card and it always turned the fans on to above 100% speed when the gpu hit around 75-76c even when I already had my fans manually set to 100% static speeds. Evga seems to have finally changed their default fan profiles on their vbios to prevent the card from getting too hot.

Probably better off spending a bit more and grabbing a hybrid Kit for it either from EVGA or NZXT's G12 GPU bracket with your choice of an AIO, preferably a 240mm.  Just have to make sure the AIO is compatible with the GPU bracket.

At this moment I have contacted seller (scan.co.uk) as I would like to RMA it. The card doesn't behave like it should, got a friend with similar card, however its MSI and it does not do jetengine inside his case after reaching 75 degrees, and when he set 100% fan speed on 85 degrees it change, not like in my when I can set 75% fan for 75 degrees but card always trigger 100% when it hits 74.

Also I just can't spend another 100-150GBP to "fix" the card, the card was expensive by itself so I demand reliability from it.

Your GPU is fine.  It's your factory built-in fan profile.  If you want, you can always change it via manual fan curve otherwise leave it alone and welcome to air cooling on a GPU.

Your friends has a different profile and even gets very close to the GPUs thermal limit of 89c.  The cooler the GPU runs, the better.

No its not ok, I think you missed the line where I said even when I select fan curve manualy it will respect it only till it hits 74, also fan controller still report 65% of fan speed while real speed is 100%.

I called Eu support and they agree card looks faulty and they blame fan controller, I will rma it

I have the same issue with my RTX 2070 XC. Fan1 reports 61% fan speed while the RPM are over 3700RPM - Fan2 works normally at 61% fan speed and 2100RPM. I opened a support ticket too.

I have card under RMA currently, waiting for invoice approval, according to what they have seen on screenshots they recon there is something wrong with the fan controller.
