Probably a stupid question, but can I use two dual packs for quad channel? Adata Xpg Spectrix D60 only come in pairs.

Yes you can. they always say if running quad try and get a quad kit but i have used dual sets of dual memory before and never had any issues at all with it.

You can if you're lucky. I've seen it go both ways when running two dual channel kits in quad channel. I always recommend buying a quad channel kit to prevent issues that may arise from running two dual channel kits in quad channel. A quad channel kit is guaranteed to work in quad channel. Dual channel kits are guaranteed to work in dual channel. Two dual channel kits aren't guaranteed to work in quad channel, but some have gotten it to work before without problems, and some haven't.

I've asked Adata, if they don't give an adequate answer, I guess buying some quad it will be.

Save yourself some trouble and get a quad kit that is on the QVL for your MB, and has your MB on the QVL for the kit.

Unless you're really into memory clocking and timings.  Then get the best binned b-die sticks you can afford.

In general, get b-die.

The Corsair Memory FAQ sez:

"We strongly recommend matching the module part number as closely as possible in order to ensure the greatest chance of compatibility. Even if you match part numbers properly, we can't make guarantees as to their performance as the modules weren't tested together.  Also be aware that when using two kits of memory together, you may need to reduce the speed of the memory due to motherboard chipset limitations."

And.

"Each kit of Corsair Memory is tested to run at its advertised settings in the configuration in which they are sold.  If you purchase a 4GB kit (2x2GB), then we can only guarantee its performance and compatibility when using it as a single kit.  To ensure the best results with more than two memory modules installed in the same system, it is best to get a kit which has been tested to run in that configuration.
While it is definitely possible that two kits would run together in the same system, there is a chance that you may need to reduce the speed of the memory due to motherboard chipset limitations when populating more than one memory module per channel on the board.  If you have problems mixing sets, it is suggested to manually lower the frequency of the memory."

All that would apply to any RAM, not just Corsair RAM.

You'll almost certainly be fine running two Adata kits of the same breed together, though..I've even mixed RAM from different manufacturers and they worked fine together..If not, a little tweaking will usually fix things up.

I'll just see what I can get hold of, doesn't have to be RGB to be honest.
