Nu audio fake 5.1? What is this?

Hey before I return this card, I am testing it, and sounds great.. except, I am getting fake / wrong 5.1 sound for the rear channels. Considering they said the new update added DTS surround I am really wondering whats wrong here. Unlike other cards it doesn't have a speaker tester... I plugged it into the optical, and plugged in (wow it deleted my youtube link, I posted a DTS speaker test)  and WoW. I can't hear anything behind me in games... and is acting almost stereo, if a sound is to be front left, both rear and front play.


Did I miss a setting, or did EVGA lie about what this card can do?

    It doesnt have dolby,dts decoder just passthru so you wont get surround in games. U will get surround with movies.

    As viki80 noted, the Dolby/DTS is passthrough, not live encoding.  If your source has Dolby/DTS, then it will pass that information through, but it will not create Dolby/DTS if it doesn't exist in the source material.
