Hi, I'm confused with the mother board asmedia controller,
I tried to put a simple 2tb hd with games, it was not recognized BIOS post
to start windows took forever
then I tried to put my sony DVD, and it was not recognized either.
what is the use of the SATA ports controlled by the asmedia if they do not work?

I tried manual help guide and I did not understand, if someone can clarify this phenomenon I thank you very much for help

What Motherboard?
Is ASMedia Enabled in your Bios?
Are you set in Legacy Mode or only UEFI Mode?
You look to be running Windows 10 and not Windows 7.

SATA Ports:
ASMedia ASM1061
2x SATA 3/6 Gbit/s (600 MB/s) data transfer rate
- Supports Windows XP, used for benching environments
- No RAID or Hot-Plug Support

The ASMedia SATA ports 6/7 are from the secondary SATA controller to provide additional storage ports. These ports are also compatible with some legacy Operating Systems, including Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8/8.1. For benching enthusiasts, this allows for an easier method of achieving higher scores in your preferred Operating System, rather than be limited to only Windows 10.

10. ASMedia SATA 6Gbit/s Ports
This is a secondary SATA controller, the ASM1061 is a 2-port SATA3/6 Gbit/s controller with legacy support for older operating systems, such as Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 8.1. This is included largely for benchmarking and overclocking with very specific programs, such as Super Pi, 3DMark, PCMark, etc. (See Page 55 for specifics on the connectors)

Note:
It is important to remember that before installing the driver CD that is shipped in the kit, you must first load or install your operating system. The motherboard natively supports 64bit versions of Windows 10, and has Legacy operating system support for 32bit and 64bit versions of Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8/8.1 through the ASMedia SATA controller.

You have 7 SATA Drives Connected now.
Remember that using an M.2 NVMe Drive will disable some of your SATA Ports as well.
