Or should I go for a 1060 6GB instead? I'm having trouble deciding and some of the places I've asked at haven't been too helpful. This is for gaming @ 1080p 60hz

Sorry, I forgot to mention those specifics but I plan to game @1080p 60hz. I'm afraid the 1660 will bottleneck too much and might mess with me when playing something like a fighting game where it's locked to 60fps

I think if i was on the fence between 1060 6gb and 1660 i would just go right to the 1660ti version instead.

You should be ok imo. Even if it's not utilized at 100%, that just saves the extra horsepower when needed. I mean you're not going further than 60 FPS to match up your 60 Hz screen. dwexpress I think if i was on the fence between 1060 6gb and 1660 i would just go right to the 1660ti version instead.
I agree, I'd go with the more Vram and 'Ti' version for future proofing.

Plus the 1660ti would be GDDR6 vram, the 1060 and the 1660 would still be the GDDR5 vram

Can't really afford it to be honest. And the TI would bottleneck my old CPU even harder most likely GTXJackBauer

I've been looking at the numbers at gpucheck .com with the two cards compared with an i5-3570 It seems the 1060 6gb has more stable minimum frames. Like I said, in a fighting game it's locked to 60fps and truth be told, you can't afford to lose more than 1 framerate. I just want to get the most out of whatever little money I have for this small luxury

I would still go with the 1660ti, for the simple reason if you still get a bottleneck with the 1060 your gonna be mad and think you need then to upgrade you cpu to an i7, then if you have bought both items you should have gotten the 1660ti to begin with. Get the newer generation with GDDR6 and get it over with. This would be a pretty good start. https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=06G-P4-1667-KR&associatecode=5XTLDFI2DFXIPA7

Statwise I would get little to no bottlenecking with the 1060 6gb but the 1660 looks to be more.

Both are good options but does the X5 Mouse sound useful to you? Since it’s kind of a toss up on what is better I would consider the bundle.
Also it wouldn’t hurt to talk to work about a pay raise if it’s been a while. A $0.50 pay raise is $1040 a year for a full time job before taxes. That really helps with a hobby and the job market being tight for skilled workers makes it a good time to ask.
