I notice EVGA used to offer a 3.0 host card and that it has been discontinued. I would like to upgrade my X58 USB (2.0) to 3.0 for an external hard drive. Can anyone recommend a compatible 4 port card? Thanks in advance.

I've used the Rosewill 4-Port External USB 3.0 PCI Express Card  RC-508 in one of my X58 MB, it was not an EVGA X58 - but it should still work for you

you can buy from Rosewill on Amazon
