OK, i have a Swifttech D5 pump, the dial on it is broken, is there any way to fix it so that the speed can be set from Low to a minimal speed setting .  Id like to have a little more water flow, I do have a couple Swiftech MCP 355 pumps too, but i need to order new boards for them so i dont have a three wire and i can  take them to a PMW 4wire set up .. , also i can not find a top that i can use with my res tube everything i found so far is for the D5 pump ..  ideals or anyone have one that they would let loss for a fair price

    Ghost,

I dont suppose you know what part is broken?  You can pry the back cover off that D5 and see that the red dial is an extension of plastic.

Sort of curious if the red plastic extension or the actual potentiometer on the circuit board is bad.

There are plenty of "jellybean" components to choose from in order to fix it. A potentiometer of your choice and a soldering iron is all that should be necessary. A multimeter will tell you the resistance value of the old potentiometer to match.

If it's broken, it needs to be replaced in order to be fixed, but you can't replace it, I don't know why you are asking the question nor what other type of answer you were hoping for. You can always look for someone to fix it for you.
