I don't know if this is a compatibility issue where it just won't work or perhaps I need to upgrade the firmware on my GTX 1080, but I can't use X1 to change my RGBs. I can use
LED Sync with my 1080, but I would prefer to use X1 since it is easier to use.

I tried uninstalling X1, removing EVGA folders containing the remnants of the install and then re-installing but to no avail. If anybody has other ideas, I would appreciate it.

I believe that you would need to use the older Precision XOC. Precision X1 was created for Turing cards (RTX 20xx) with partial backwards compatibility added.

Just figured it out. There's another way besides LED Sync to change RGBs within XOC that suits my needs. In settings and under the "LED appearance" tab. Pity I can't use X1 for this purpose, although my 1070 Ti works just fine with it.

So you use the old precision to to change the LED colors? Instead of the newer X1?
