Why not include a part # that has the 10 year built in? I would think plenty of people would pay the extra 60 bucks up front ..
 
(perhaps it's only me, but while the secondary purchase when registering wasn't horrible, the "at purchase" seems easier..nothing need to enter a cred card number again)

    I get this as well, and it is a Pain to have to enter it for EACH one as well. I had 4 items to have to enter 4 different times.
    But it might be the way they are providing us with better security and separate from our accounts.
    Also it might be because it could be a Gift Order.

    Probably has to do with the idea of a family member being able to purchase a product for someone and the extended warranty would be attached to the wrong account.

    I could see it being a huge issue when Aunt Tammy bought Johnny a 2060 with a 10 year warranty not understanding that the 10 year warranty wouldn’t go to Johnny and would always be attached to Aunt Tammy’s account.

    Happens all the time and Johnny is furious since aunt Tammy isn't picking up her phone.

    Can I add an extended warranty to my Kingpin 2080ti order that I placed today? I did not see an option to add one but I will admit that I went through the checkout rather quickly in my excitement. Did not think about it until I read this thread.

    I imagine it’s because then they’d have to add another SKU to the already pretty crowded product page. It might also confuse some and become a problem if selling cards in other territories.

    Not sure if that’s the reason but that’s my guess.
