Ever since i have had this card the fan closest to the display outputs has spun, i have switched the bios switch between both settings following EVGA's instructions for doing so yet the fan spins, on and on and on, now its not noisy or distracting, just odd that it is not the way the card is supposed to be...hmmmmm

    Try using DDU (https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html)
Then reinstall the Nvidia drivers, if you are trying to get the best benchmarks then uncheck
everything except drivers and physics which may not to be a bad idea if you are also trying
to find of it's software related.

Actually applied the display port bios update and that corrected the fan issue and at idle prior it was siting around 34 degrees. Everything seems to be working great now, aside from some DP issues still persisting where the display will not display anything, switch to hdmi and everything is all good... cant figure it out

yes, i have tried 3 different cables, one i had prior that was in use on my asus monitor and the one that came with my current Samsung 1440p 144hz panel and an aftermarket certified cable and all have the same results. I resorted to having a screensaver on instead of turning the monitor off and that worked for some time until i restarted the pc and then after not being able to get the monitor to respond, plugged in the HDMI and boom, working just fine.

yes, with all 3 cables, i wonder if a new bios may be available for the card, if it is even the card at all!!

I have a RX480 laying around, maybe best to switch it out and see.

There might be one available, but you'll need to contact evga support to find out.
