How to stop loading the default operating system to select the desired drive to boot?

    Make sure you have select Boot to Windows on first list in your Bios Setting go to Save & Exit > Boot Override > select to choose Boot to Windows

    Ah no press hit Del to enter BIOS setting when boot BIOS startup and that F6 to boot list disks

    I need to stop the boot and select the boot area of another drive. As I almost figured out this F7.

    I have two disks: one with Windows, the other with Linux. I do not want to use the Grub bootloader, but to choose if I need, using the BIOS capabilities. At the boot stage, I select F7 and get a list of boot disks from which I select the one I need. I do not need to go into BIOS.
    If I did not select anything, then Windows is loaded by default.

    Next X299 BIOS, we will be adding an optional item to always request the boot drive before it boots to OS.  It will be disabled by default.
