So, I got the EVGA RTX 2070 Black a couple days ago and after messing around with fan profiles, I have all the settings I want for my case.

Now, do I need to load the profile to the GPU every time I startup windows? I know I can just run Precision X1 at startup but I am kind of picky about startup software on my pc (I know, it's retarded).

Can't I just put the profile on the card permanently or something?

The last active fan curve should be applied when you start PX1 manually from the Desktop shortcut, or when set to 'Start with OS' (with or without a Profile being loaded)..That's the way it works for me..PX1 needs to load/run for fan curves to work (same as it ever was)..Fan curves will not work unless PX1 is running.

You can't put a profile on the card permanently unless you edit and flash the card's VBIOS, which will void the warranty and perhaps bork your card, we won't go there.

Plus, the video card firmware is digitally signed and no one who isn't on the inside has figured out how to flash custom firmware to the card in the first place.

Sorry, you need software to be running in order to have a fan curve which adjusts fan speed based on current temperature.
