GTX 1070ti FTw 2 Coil Whine

Hi,
 
I have just bought my pc after saving money for a couple of years and has not even been a week since I have built my new pc that my graphics card emits what is called coil whine? I bought it off Amazon. But am wondering what are my options as I can hear it even when I have my case closed?

    coilwhine can be caused to high of frame rate. i have 1080 classy and if i load a game say like lego star wars i have to set the max fps to keep the card from hitting insane fps. just a suggestion could also be a bad power supply or even a bad gpu just some things to check. if it not uncapped fps your best bet is try the gpu in different computer or try a different power supply so you can narrow down the problem. hope that helps

    An RMA may be in your future..Make sure you register your card..Amazon might replace it if neccessary, I don't know.

    I experienced a bit of coil whine these last few days. Certain titles for me, (Black Ops 4, shadow of the tomb raider) however I also have it overclocked but it does do it at stock as well. I just upgraded from a gtx 970 which was one of the worst cards for coil whine. Mine isn't to loud also can't really hear it when gaming as I use a headset. Still know its happening though.

    Fixes for coil whine...
     
    #1 Put glue on the noisy coils. Only works if coils are exposed. Will void warranty if done.
    #2 Run ati tool overnight to burn the card in. Click show 3d view to start ati render test.
    #3 Increase/decrease voltage on the card.
    #4 Use frame rate limiter software to limit fps in game to reduce whine.
    #5 Try a different psu.
    #6 Try a different motherboard.
    #7 RMA the card.
