What size NVLINK?

My EVGA Z390 FTW and 2x EVGA RTX 2080 TI XC Gaming ULTRA cards are arriving next week. I need to get an NVLINK but I cant figure out if I need a 3 or 4 slot version. I think its the 4... but would like to confirm. thanks.

    You need the 3 slot.

    Does somebody knows what Nvlink size i have to buy for two 2080ti FTW3 or is up to the motherboard ?

    It’s always on the motherboard. 99% of Z series motherboard require 3 slot. Only 1% of z series boards use more than 2 available x16/x8 slots.

    The z370-a uses the 99% rule
