On-board RGB and Fan headers

Dumb question I'm sure, but what exactly are these for?  I see it states Precision X1, but no cords in the box or instructions as to where you would install these on the motherboard.

    They are for additional fans or led strips if you want them. The X1 software will allow you to control the fan curve and LeD functions if you attach to the card.

    The fans would come with cables to put onto the motherboard headers as would things like RGB fans or light strips. The RGB controller just allows the lights on a computer case or fans to match the motherboard colors.
