I tried using my and my wife's cards. Both of them ending up being on hold because of fraud alert. The customer rep said it shows as I'm physically buying the card in CA instead of buying it online. Is this normal?

I have never had an issue with the fraud alert from EVGA, but I normally call my bank before using my card for a large purchase.

EVGA is in Brea California, so the charge should show going through California.

When I have made large purchases off EVGA web store, for example when I bought my 1080Ti back in August, It didn't go through the first time. Then, within seconds I received a text msg. asking me if I had made the purchase. I answered yes and reran the purchase and I was golden. The credit card was a Capital One Signature Visa. I can tell you they are always looking at large purchases for fraud issues. At least in my case it was one extra step. Hope this helps a little.
