Hi, hoping to get some help testing my GTX 1080 Ti SC2 GAMING card that is crashing to desktop during gameplay. I have had no problems playing 4K at High to Ultra quality in games until recently. 11 months old and never overclocked.
"Rise of the Tomb Raider" crashes with "A problem has occurred with your display driver. Your system may not have enough resources to run the game at the selected settings. (0x887A0006: dxgi_error_device_hung)"
In "World of Tanks" the card will Crash, freeze the image, but not release "focus". I, therefore, cannot ALt-F4 or access Task Manager to force it closed. PC requires Reboot.
Dropping the quality to 4K LOW textures and the game runs fine. Also, lower resolutions but high textures seem ok.
I used Display Driver Uninstaller and loaded both the newest driver available and my last known good version. Also deleted WoT and reinstalled that cleanly. This had no effect on the crashing.
Tried Furmark Bench test which ran ok so not temps.
Unigene Heaven Benchmark, however,r crashes when at 4K.
It seems to me that there is something wrong with the memory, as large textures seem to be crashing the card. Desktop and Video etc work fine.
Anyone with some suggestions or is this an RMA?

N.B I tried the 1080ti in my old PhenomII x4 955 PC with an MSI 790FX mobo. I could get to the bios but it wouldn't boot to Win10
