    Short answer - NO

Long answer - read this https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000026106/memory-and-storage/ssd-software.html

It is not an EVGA Bios issue it is a deceptive practice of Intel to double speak what they actually mean about what does and does not work with the VROC / chip set raid in regards to the m.2 slots

Raid with drives hooked up to the regular SATA ports probably works just fine

In the end the reality of it is that the M.2 drives (good ones) are plenty fast and capacity is getting there that it makes raid 0 pointless and a waste of time. If you are trying to do raid 1 there are still better solutions then the M.2 slots on the board

That's weird coz some of the Asus X299 boards CAN RAID 0 Samsung EVO 970's using VROC. Albeit, the guy who successfully mounted 3 of them together as a boot drive was using the Asus Hyper M2 X16 card.

The replies from the Intel reps are quite interesting (and kinda shady). Notice one of them points him towards buying a Intel VROC Standard key since the knows the drives will actually boot in RAID 0 already via the temporary trial.

Then the 2nd Intel rep gives him the old copy paste 'see our list of compatible NVMe drives.' The Samsung 970's aren't on it but the OP has already proven they most certainly CAN work. Intel seems to be trying to cover that up. I wouldn't be surprised if they are intentionally blocking support so that people buy only Intel NVMe's.

"I successfully mounted a RAID 0 of 3x 970 Samsung evo drives on x299. Got 9k read and more. If i buy a Key to enhance the demo period of 90 days. Can i advance to use this array of drives and keep data? Which key do i need to advance?"

There is not enough detail in what that OP Posted 3 970 Samsung EVO Drives.
The Hyper M.2 Asus is also a PCIe Card and not the M.2 Slots on the Motherboard.

I got mine working with Intel SSD Drives listed on the above link fine with a Key M.2 on the MB. But No Go on the EVO Drives.
If you get it working post about and let the others that also want to do this on the X299 Dark.
I do not have any Hyper M.2 Asus PCIe Cards to play with.

I am not going to dig into it but I thought that the Hyper M.2 Asus PCIe Cards would only work on the Asus boards... but I could be wrong

Unfortunately I think that is indeed the case. I'm sure I saw (in another thread) that the OP was using an Asus X299 mobo.

Would be cool if EVGA could make an AIC similar to the Hyper M2 for their X299 mobos. Asrock and MSI did.

not the case at all, I'm using the Asus Hyper x16 card on a EVGA Dark x299 with 2x Intel 760P in RAID-0. It won't work with Samsung drives however.

Ok, so the Hyper x16 works, you still had to use Intel drives for the raid 0. What bios is your Dark using? Perhaps earlier bio's had issues
