Might be a while before mid-range turing cards appear as there is plenty of GTX 1060 stock that is unsold. Nvidia made a bet that the mining boom was going to last a while longer, a bet which has left them with excessive Pascal stock in the mid-range GPU market. This has placed Nvidia in a tricky position, as they need to clear this stock before releasing mid-range Turing graphics cards, as otherwise the inventory could be left unsold. Personally I think NVIDIA should lower the price on their mid-range cards to sell them faster.

Drop the price of the 1060, toss in a free game, and compete with the 590. The cards will sell, they’re good cards and meet the needs of the average gamer.

Surprised Nvidia didn't do an Nvidia this time around and rebrand GTX1060 as GTX2060. Actually, I'm rather shocked. It's out of character. Does that mean that they had so much low binned RTX chips that even the 2060's are the same chip laser lobotomized?

They'll sell them since there is no mid range 20 series and that is where most of the market is at anyway.

1060 is a pretty beast GPU for the money.

You mean like offer Monster Hunter World and Destiny 2 and a free 600W PSU? Honestly you are right though they are good cards. If you toss one into almost any computer you can play most games at 1080p and that is what matters to a lot of people. I honestly don't think it will take that long for them to sell out since the 1070 and up I think are going to be sold out and a lot of gamers will want a card in the sub $300 range.
