So far, Minecraft: Dungeons has been announced for PC, with reference of an Xbox One version, a strange omission for a developer that is owned by Microsoft. It is likely that Minecraft: Dungeons will release for console platforms at a later date.   
 
Mojang has also announced Minecraft's upcoming "Village and PIllage" update, which adds new villager types to the game which include professionals such as librarians, butchers, clerics, cartographers and fletchers. Hostile barbarians will also be added to the game, who will periodically attack villages. This update will release sometime in 2019 on all platforms.

Personally I don't understand the attraction...was playing graphically similar games 30 years ago.
 
Just...bleh

It's supposedly the gameplay mechanics that are appealing. Good gameplay mechanics can stand the test of time. People that only play games for shiny graphics are the reason why games suck now a days. I've never been impressed with Minecraft though.
