Does the invoice have a signature required fee ($4?)
 
UPS does have ways for you create a premium account or sign the form allowing them to leave a package  --> you take a risk of theft
 
Got a retired neighbor/ friend/ relative: you trust to house sit for you ?
 
Even as a Volunteer Mod on the Forums for EVGA, I have to sit at home when I order from them and hope the UPS truck shows up soon
 
You know the saying a few bad actors mess it up for everyone, I'm sure EVGA has had some BAD experiences - forcing this policy
 
 
In the future, if work allows your to receive packages, add your work address to your CC and place your order with your work address

3. Billing/Shipping Address
A customer may ship an order to an address different from the billing address; however, to be able to process the order successfully, the billing address must be verifiable through the credit card company, which is explained below.
 
4. Address Verification
In order for us to verify your address we will process a small test charge for $1 to $2 each time you try to place an order at EVGA.com. This is required to verify your billing address and the test charge should not be deducted from your account. EVGA does not accept the use of International credit cards and the only exception to this is considered for banks within our shipping areas of Canada and Mexico.
EVGA recommends avoiding the use of prepaid credit cards and gift cards when placing an order at EVGA.com. It is possible that your order may be cancelled and refunded if it is not able to be verified by our order verification team.
