Hi all,

I've purchased an EVGA bundle + Intel i7 8700k  CPU. My parts are:
- CPU: Intel i7 8700k
- GPU: EVGA GTX 1080 ti
- MB: EVGA Z370 Classified K
- Case: EVGA DG 76
- PSU: EVGA 850 G3
- Cooling: EVGA CLC 240
- RAM: 2x8 Corsair Vengeance 3600 c18

I literally just built this pc on the 24th but find my CPU sitting at 50c when nothing is going on. I play Rainbow 6 Siege as my main game and my CPU temp instantly goes up to 100c.
- I have Flow Master installed and set to Auto

Can anyone help me understand why my CPU runs so hot with the CLC 240 installed?

Thanks in advance!
Roger

#1 Make sure everything is plugged in correctly.
#2 Feel the tubes on the clc. If you don't feel any vibration in the tubes the pump isn't working, and you'll need to rma.

The tubes definitely have vibration, and the fans on the CLC are working. Coolant temp is sitting at 32c at all times from what I see on Flow Control.

I’m sure everything is plugged in correctly too, especially knowing how all hardware is working and the Flow Control can still control the fan speeds.

I agree with Sajin on this one. I would be also doing an inspection to make sure it’s sitting right against the CPU and you don’t see any problems with how the cooler is seated. Also make sure the fans are spinning.

someone last month used the wrong stand-off - they fix that and temp was better.
Not sure how that is possible but something to check.

can you control pump speed ?
