Hi.
Anyone know the decibel level for the Geforce GTX 1050 Ti Gaming 4GB at idle and at full load? I tried googling for this and couldn't find it. If you can't tell me the decibel level, just tell me if you would describe it as average, quiet or very quiet.

Thanks

I could only find noise level measurements from a GTX 1050ti SC review:

I have one of those.  It depends on how hot your room is.  That determines how high the fans spin up.  That said, I have a that and a 1080SC2 in my case maxed out folding right now and I can't hear them over my case fans.  It's not an issue unless you are very sensitive to noise and have the A/C set on 85.  I just happened to download a sound meter app last night and right now my system is at 40db.  That's with my phone on my desktop and the computer in the open desk compartment.  If I hold the phone 6 inches in front of the tower, it goes up to 45db.

Edit... I guess my 1050Ti is an FTW version..

At idle I can barely hear mine and could say my mechanical hard drives can make more noise at times than my 1050 Ti single fan unit at idle.
It's a diffident story when taxing it with graphically intensive programs at that point noise level from my system is about the same as small 6 to 9'' desk fan on medium speed but really hard to say that it's all coming from the 1050 Ti as the power supply's fan also ramps up too.

Edit: I should note when I am running a game I open Precision XOC that is set with using an aggressive fan curve.

I don't know the 1060 isn't too bad with the fans all the way up...still want a blocked 1080 though and yeah go up to the 360mm and yeah alittle bigger hoses 1/2X5/8...if that don't cool anything I don't know what will lol

You can't tell me how loud the videocard is unless I give you detailed specs on my computer? So if I tell you all about my PC then you can tell me if the videocard is quiet or not, otherwise you can't. I don't think it's that complicated and obviously other people didn't find it complicated either.

I'm not more sensitive to noise than anyone else. I just want a quiet videocard. I've always managed to find quiet videocards in the past. Water cooling introduces a new potential problem into a computer so I don't use it.

What he's getting at is if you have a closed off case with one fan, the card will run hot and therefore be louder than if you have a well ventilated case so that the card runs cooler.  The conditions inside the case and the ambient temperature outside the case are very relevant to card temperature, and therefore how loud it's going to be.

Yes indeed. If you have it stuffed in a tiny case with no airflow, it will be louder (more fan noise due to higher temps...it's not complicated) than if you have it in a larger case with good airflow (lower fan noise due to the fans on the GPU needing to work less to keep the GPU temps under control...a simple concept). I agree it is not that complicated.

He probably, or hopefully knows that. It's difficult to find relative noise comparisons. Especially if you're not using a top end GPU. It doesn't attract the ad eyeballs so they don't do that many reviews and those that are done usually have less detail. So you go mostly by anecdotal evidence from users.

Or you could be SMRT and buy a noise cancelling case like any one of the Define series from Fractal.  I can't hear my 1080FTW (folding 24/7), and I can barely hear my 3x140mm intakes, 120mm and 200mm exhaust fans in my case from about 6 feet away.  A good sound deadening case goes a long way.
