I personally assume the purpose of this card would be to add additional performance if you have some type of bottleneck in your network. You can fit M.2 Sata SSDs or M.2 NVMe SSDs to give your system a performance boost. It might be worthwhile as compared to upgrading the entire QNAP NAS in your company.
