Hello with a 1080 SC ACX 3.0, I have an Open CL score with Realbench lower than with a 1070 SC ACX 3.0 (1080 : 73 000 // 1070 : 94 000) Looking at GPU-Z, I see that it is a bios that I can not find on this forum, and the memory frequency is 1251mhz (instead of 5005 mhz) I flashed with the older bios available on this forum (86.04.3b.00.82), reinstalled the Nvidia driver, the memory is at 5005 mhz, however the type of memory is not recognized, the bandwidth increases from 320 to 160, and have an even lower Open CL score (12 000) the problem must come from bios, I think What can I do ? Thanks

For GDDR5X you have to x4 the memory number in gpu-z. e.g. 1251 x4 = 5004 then you must x2 that number to get the actual memory speed. 5004 x2 = 10008. Hope you saved a copy of your original vbios. If not you'll need to contact evga to put in a request to get your original vbios back.

Yes I saved the bios, and I re flashed Ah that's normal for the "1251 mhz" then
Why the bios (86.04.3b.00.82) proposed on the forum does "not work", and indicates 5005 for Memory and the one I have of origin is not indicated anywhere) ? Where could my performance drop come from ? Thanks for your help

Could have been a bad flash. Were you using the .exe's provided from evga to update, or were you using the newest version of nvflash to update to the 86.04.3b.00.82 vbios? The performance drop could be coming from using a different graphics driver.

I used the .exe provided by EVGA (archive available on the topic in question) I tried with different drivers and same result
On the other hand, it is normal that in load, the software of monitoring (like Aida64) indicates 2502mhz for the ram instead of 10008 mhz ? There is a way to know if the memory is 10008 in load ? Thanks

MSI Afterburner should show the card running at 5004 when under a load.

Checked with CPU-Z, it's 5005 mhz;) It looks like the result is good for the GPGPU of Aida64 ? Will the decline in Open CL scores come from Windows patch since January (to fix the Meltdown & Specter) ? In December, I had a better score for the 1070 Thanks

This is what I get on my 1080 ti at stock clocks... Second question: Maybe. You don't have a gpgpu benchmark of your 1070 to compare to?

No need to reinstall windows if you only applied the windows patch. The patch stays disabled until you update your motherboard bios.

tistou77 boy, go back to your native firmware ....nothing will change with the reinstallation of Windows and whether you install drivers.
