Hi,

I started to pre-assemble my x299 micro in order to be ready when the case arrives (NZXT H400i). Somehow I can't find an assembly manual for the wifi bracket. I have two questions:
1.) There is a small black plastic part with a hole and adhesive on one side. Where is this part supposed to go?
2.) Does it matter where the hex nut is assembled (on bottom of motherboard or top of wifi bracket)?

regards

Hex nut on the bottom is what I did.  That's for the WiFi bracket.  The plastic part I believe is for an NVME stick. It's a thermal pad.

No, Ím talking about a very small plastic part that was in the same bag as the bracket and screws. It looks like a non conductive spacer.

you have problem with installation of hardware or software?

Hardware si tricky, you will need case with mobo tray or some gymnastics

you need to put antennas on to wifi card, than install this metal thing to mobo, than install card to m.2, screw it in.
    after that install I/O cover.

now rotate tray or mobo so the I/O faces down

put antennas through the cover and try to target the antennas holes, screw them in

now you can mount the mobo to tray and you are done :D

Did you read my question? There is nothing mentioned about the spacer that came with the bracket screws.

I would use the spacer between the Bracket and MB.

Looking at the manual the only thing in there about the WIFI m.2 is on page 21

M.2 Socket 1 Key-E 32mm Vertical Adapter (On IO Panel)
M.2 Key-E is largely used for WiFi and Bluetooth cards. Key-E and Key-M connectors are different, meaning that devices are not interchangeable between
    sockets.
This variant is also on a vertical mount, which has an adapter that is slid into card-bus slot and bolted to the motherboard, then the M.2 Key-E mounts to the vertical adapter

Perhaps a video can be found of someone working with this?

As long as the mounting works the same between the Dark and the Micro

Here a picture of all parts that were in the bag. I'm referring to the black square plastic part with adhesive on one side.
I checked the x299 Dark manual already but unfortunately there is no information about the part mentioned.

As I stated above that Part would go between the MB and The Black Bracket.

For what purpose? I checked the height of the bracket and it fits perfectly to the wifi cards height.

Keep from marking the top of the Motherboard
    Installation or Vibration Damper
It Also Could go at the Top to keep the bracket from marking the Shield
Maybe an EVGA Tech can review your Thread and let us know.
You can still ask using a Support Ticket on your Motherboard, this is the official way of asking support questions.
