Somethings definitely went wrong?

What on gods earth could cause that?

Most likely a faulty software reading.

HWinfo is usually very incorrect on voltage readings.

wow but what are the chances of that.. I mean even if a '1' got read as a '0' somewhere. Wouldn't it be more likely to come out with some random number like 838053.18747 etc lol? I mean what are the odds of that happening? (Computers aren't usually wrong unless CPU is highly overclocked) and it wasn't under any intense loads.

Have to say I'm quite puzzled.

Use GPUZ to track what the voltages are really doing and how much watts it pulls. HWinfo is known to put false info out there. GPUZ goes off sensors directly.

I can't seem to get GPU-Z to display power (in watts). Only % of TDP.

Also I know the voltage is right (0.8v as that's what I've locked it at in Afterburner). <-- keeps temps low & helps prolong life of card. (Card is also running on Chilled Water, the temps there are correct).

All it takes is for the voltage and power reading to be slightly out of sync by milliseconds in software on a rising or falling spike for the reading to be instantaneously way wrong. I would take that maximum value and throw it out the window.

Hwinfo is great, but don't think it is always accurate on power draw. I like using a Kilowatt meter and measuring deltas. Is there an easy/better way to measure?

Idk if it prolongs the life of the card as much as it chokes it off from needing the proper voltage set from EVGA at factory.

    Wow, interesting.

Very. Hmm.. I am curious.. how do you mean, chocked off?

You mean like I'm starving the poor thing of voltage?

    Not on chilled water...

Notice it's misreporting my memory speed at idle...it's at 405mh not 101mhz. But it's still a useful tool.
