Not sure where to write this so if necessary move it if it's not in the right place...

I have just build my first PC.....

specs
Taichi Z370
i7 8700k
64 ram gskill 3600 RGB
2 nvme 960 pro 512Gb
EVGA 1080 FTW2
EVGA supernova 850 T2
Noctua NH-D15S

After i had my bios updated from 1.20 to 1.30 .........and updated windows 10 right after I seem to have lost the first boot-bios screen every time I go to restart the PC or even when I shut the system down but i start in a short period of time.........If i let the PC off power for about 10 min or so when i power i see the bios screen....anyone here with the same problem?

Restart with Shift .... or even the diagnostic procedure for UEFI from win10 does not give me bios splash either.

To be more specific:
When I open my PC power on....after a day for the first time it shows the splash bios screen with the selection of F2... DEL...F11.. the first screen.... so you can enter the motherboard bios software. The first time everything is ok!!!!
when i restart the pc ....or even i shut it down for a short time and restart ..it won't show that first splash bios screen but it will enter directly windows10.....as if it were on fast boot mode.
fast boot mode is deactivated in the windows by me and within the bios as well.
I have tried HDMI and DVID cables on a TV.....no monitor yet....waiting for delivery......

Now the strange thing is!!!!!!!

Well it seems i have found something.......

when i uninstall all GPU drivers........the PC reboots ans starts every time with the bios splash screen!!! As it should be!!!!!
when either the windows 10 or me manually install any drivers... ( Windows 10 install on their own the 388.13 drivers for my EVGA 1080 FTW2 nvidia has the 390.77 version now.... ) the problem comes back............no boot splash screen after GPU drivers installed!!!!!!

Is it windows 10? My GPU? HDMI cable? MOBO?

Well seems like you sorta figured it out.. it's the nvidia driver I guess not liking a regular tv. Prob because windows sees the monitor as a generic monitor with no .inf file and prob doesnt think it can send a low resolution signal to the tv (which the post and bios screen would be) and won't show a pic till it loads the nvidia drivers right before the window logon screen.. just like it does on my rig using a Samsung 40" 4k screen.

I have another monitor right next to it thst I don't use all the time but if I turn it on it will show the post screen and bios screen on that.

So when you get your monitor you shouldn't have this issue anymore.

But why does it send the signal on fisrt boot after the mobo is clear of electric load after 5-10 minutes?

Do you have CSM (compatibilty support module) enabled in the BIOS? Do you have the integrated iGPU disabled in the BIOS? What is the model of the TV you are using? As an  aside, the Windows drivers are not even loaded when you are on the boot screen. So the drivers should be irrelevant at that point.

That's true! Doh it's the bios so something in there that's not sending it out to the tv.. and here he said it will after being off for 5-10 mins so it's a weird one. On mine I don't think I ever see it with my Asus maximus VIII z170 mb.

That single link cable can limit your available resolutions and refresh rate depending upon your monitor.

I know but at least with an old monitor I had it worked....next thing is to try a new one and see what happens with DVI HDMI and DP cables.

I think you'll be fine.  It's all digital. There's no RAMDAC on the GPU anymore.

Hmm. Sounds like the nvidia driver was doing something to your tv that prevented it from showing the splash screen on reboot. When shutting down the system for 10-15 minutes the monitor somehow gets reset from the changes the nvidia driver made allowing the bios splash screen to show again on boot. Looks like uninstalling the graphics drivers also resets the tv somehow allowing the splash screen to work again.
