Hey all

Thanks to my parents they gifted me my birthday gift today on Dec 07, 2017, even that my birthday is on December 08 tomorrow, I turn 41 years old aaaaaa rip xD
So I could order this Malaysia Airlines Boeing 747-4H6 - 9M-MHL "Kuala Lumpur"  from J-Fox Models @ 1:200 in diecast metal :cool:

My 12th Queen of the Skies best gift ever this aircraft has many memories since my parents and I are ex-passengers of it.
The flight was more that a good memory;
It was something I will never forget in very good ways, of course.

The Flight had the following way points:

After landing in Kuala Lumpur we stayed in the Kuala Lumpur Marriot Hotel for 3 nights / 4 days.
We had a mini holiday in Kuala Lumpur & Sha-Alahm and the surroundings of that awesome area, this was a very cool experience.

Flight Path B:

Kuala Lumpur Malaysia - Colombo, Sri-Lanka - Zurich, Switzerland - Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

When we landed in Colombo, Sri-Lanka, the Captain arranged me a VIP tour under the belly of the beast his B747-4H6
He gave me a tour under the belly, the main landing gear and it's four massive engines, each having 75.000bhp...
Max Speed of our aircraft was 1086kph and the flight from Colombo to Zurich we flew at a speed of 1040 kph since we needed to be on time in Zurich for an important pickup.
During this flight I was aloud to visit the cockpit and stay there for like 2 hours for great company and it was just so damn cool up there.
From Zurich to Amsterdam they re-invited me to take a final visit up on the flight deck, i stayed for about an hour and I was like Time to land the beast my friends :cool:

When we landed in Amsterdam at Schiphol International, the Crew of the 9M-MHL  mainly the Captain & Co-Pilot wished me all the best and thanked me for my warm and friendly company. <3
Thus I thanked them for their open kindness towards me showing me, mainly showing me what a Boeing 747-400 is like from the inside and outside.
Even I was 14 at the time this is just something I will never never forget, and especially nowadays such things are extremely rarely experienced by others.
This is the perfect example of  how it was like in the golden days of flight experiences.

1990 was a great year for Boeing 747's & Concorde's alike even Tu-144's were used for flights as well, everything was awesome back then.
Since September 11, 2001 things have never been the same and I think people need to open up more and stop being afraid because that is what those terrorists want.
They want us to be afraid they want  to restrict everyone from their freedom and that is sadly happening.
This is why passengers can't have a great time during their flights due to all of these expensive restrictions.

Anyways there my Memory of 9M-MHL, Once she arrives I will gladly make a lovely review of this 12 Queen of the Skies
Once the model arrives I will replace these reference ones with ones I made myself as I have done with all my Queens

Thanks for sharing this, I just turned 44 yesterday and also flew alot pre 9/11 and a ton still to this day.
I never made it to the cockpit of a 747 but I bet that was an awesome experience.  Happy birthday

Thanks old friend, the 9M-MHL model should be arriving tomorrow aka Saterday on December 09.

Very nice looking lady Gold Leader, fits right in with that great display you have.

Well Santa got me JC Wings' PH-BFT wave Livery the one my father flew six re-tour flights in Business Class on the main deck.

This was when he worked in Sint Maarten at the main communication center they had a major aid incident that followed by fires and smoke damage, he was senior Project manager at Recontec BV which is now owned by BELFOR GmbH Germany.

So with my X-mas earnings I just bought the beauty off ebay for 150 Eur incl shipping from my faved ebay aircraft modeling dealer Bundy's

Once this blue & white B747-406M Arrives I will make great pics of her with the classic KLM B747-206B & B747-306M's

From Old Core to New Style and this is probably the last livery KLM will ever wear on their Queens.

Due to that the PH-BFT is a Combi variant, he hired this aircraft for heavy equipment transportation, there was an Acid incident in the main Communications station on the East side of Sint Maarten he flew up and back transferring large samples and and reconditioneering equipment + test samples the PH-BFT's Cargo Section in the rear part of the aircraft

Due to this, this Queen also has a very special place
