I am looking for a scrap card to salvage some integrated circuts / chips to fix another bad video card that is out of warranty. EVGA won't sell parts.

Q22, Q23, Q15, are the chip location(s) on the board.
The number on the chips are: 4C10N RCH65
Need 2.
The number on the chips are: 4C06N RCN8Z
Need 1.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

For anyone else who is curious:

Good luck!  If those burned, there is probably something else wrong with the card.  At the very least, I wouldn't be surprised if you find PCB damage.

They appear to be ON Semiconductor NTMFS4C10N and NTMFS4C06N Power MOSFETs.

Buy them on DigiKey or some other component supplier.

Nice post ty_ger07.

jhaglund, If you can get them cheap at Digikey it's worth a shot. I've repaired quite a few items with components from there.

That is me in the picture, anyone else ever pet a live Lion?

Thanks for the replies. This is what I was actually looking at for a solution, if I couldn't find a bad video card from someone. Digi-key is just down the street from me. ^_^ I'll see what I can do in the meantime...

I don't know. I don't have the card and don't have a good clear picture to utilize. You are the one who provided the numbers.

I'm running one overclocked mining right now. You'll be the first person I notify when it burns out.

Got a used >=8gb GPU that you'd like to sell? PM me

Sorry for off topic, but what is mining?
I know bitcoin did this, and I know seti at home, but is this a new mining thing?
Can I get real money for doing it?
Thanks.

Yes, card was working. A game was being played, and the computer suddenly restarted. It rebooted with no display signal, no detection. Took apart, and found an identical picture to your Q22 chip (4C1ON) toasted.

Well let me ask you this; had you overclocked the card,if so, how long prior to the failure had it been?

Re: Looking for a BAD EVGA GTX 970 SC 2018/01/22 00:45:47 (permalink)
Was asking because i thought that if you had overclocked + increased voltage that (possibly to high) that that might be what caused it. Mine was that way when i bought it & have been thinking that that's what happened to it, but now since you say you never did that, now i'm not so sure lol. If the failure wasn't from overclock/over-voting then that means that something else has to be bad too that caused those components to fail. Hate to go through the repairs just to have it do it again you know? I have 2 of those card's. The second card look's perfect but fan's run full throttle from startup and not detected in device manager. Maybe i should sell you mine? lol
