The bios update took care of my ram problem, all 4 sticks running at 4200. Thanks.

My ram issue isn't completely remedied. I tried running a stress test and the 4133 running at 4200 shuts down after half a minute or so. I upped the voltage to 1.4 from 1.35 and there was no effect. I lowered the speed to 4000 and it's now stressing out no problem. Tried both Prime95 and Intel XTU.

hello today i put together my x299 micro build. turned it on, F12, Bios, default setting, date, XMP, boot prio and save&reset. USB starts installation and surprisingly it shows both of my drives - NVMe Adata SX8000 M.2 and Intel P3520 U.2. didnt have to give drives or anything!!! yay
Windows installation complete, downloaded and installed all the drivers, restart...
Time for my software, so i click "my computer" to accest my instalation files and there is no U.2 drive visible. I go in to devmgr - its not there... restart & bios and its there, 1.1TB, status healthy, restart... windows still cannot see it, so i updated BIOS. New boot, no change. I started to read instalation guide book from evga, for the 1st time ever in my life i had to go to this book... Did what the book said, there in no drive in bios nor system... When i plug this drive to other x299 system there are no problems, it works please help!

I had the same exact thing happen with an MSI mainboard a few years ago. Wound up having to send it back to them to unflash it, bc it was a non reversible upgrade...

I'd like to give some feedback about the bios in hope a future bios update is going to adress the open issues. Despite it's size the Micro isn't a cheap board, so stellar performance should be expected. Missing important general options in the bios:- Disable SVID control (!)
- Load Line Calibration levels (!)
- Turbo boost 3.0 - (People bought their new i7/i9 and can't even enable/disable this feature)
- An indication of rank of the individual core, helpful vor per-core overclocking
- Toggle over-current-protection /
- Raise current limit for CPU
Missing RAM options:- RTLs/IOLs (!)
- IO latency (!)
- signal slopes (+ offsets)
- DRAM ref voltage control
Open issues I came across: #1 DRAM performance needs tuning, even with very tight manual timings (at least the ones that you have access to) and very good B-Die Memory the performance lacks behind, especially WRITE is almost stuck, can almost only be influenced by a higher Mesh clock. #2 NVMe performance on a 960 Pro is lower than expected. Instead of 3500Mb/s seq read you get roughly 3000Mb/s. Pretty big hit, so something seems to be off. Drivers and firmware of the drive is up to date. For more info check out my thread: https://forums.evga.com/E...feedback-m2735076.aspx If there is anything I can help with or you want me to test, let me know!

With expected new BIOSes soon for a number of the motherboards to resolve the Intel ME issue, I took a look and see a few items in the changelist that may address your concerns for the Micro BIOS. Turbo Boost 3.0 Support is definitely on the list. There are a number of other changes that may affect other items you listed above. Hopefully I will have this tomorrow or next week, at the earliest.
