Hi all,
Just bought and tried to install the GTX1070 Black Edition (5173)
System = i5-840 & GigabyteZ370 HD3P (rev. 1.0) & Thermaltake Smart 600W PSU
Installed the GTX 1070.
On post - no display - display power LED changes colour stay like it's not receiving a signal.
Opened case & checked installation, reseated card & power connectors - all fine. (GTX1070=1x8pin(6+2))
Turned system ON and same result.
The GTX1070 logo on the card is lit up when the system is powered - so the card is receiving power.
I tried to update the BIOS to the latest version, but it did not work.
Any suggestions to try before calling "EVGA support"?

According to the Gigabyte website, BIOS F4 solves a 1060/1070/1080 VGA issue for your Gigabyte Z370 HD3P motherboard. You very likely need to update the BIOS to get it working.

EDIT: If you can't update to the F4 BIOS update, try updating to the F3 version first and then updating to the F4 version.
