I love this motherboard, with one major gripe. I recently tried to bring my external server class RAID card, the Areca 1880ix, with an existing array onto my PC. I couldn't get the system to recognize the card, no matter what I did. A search of many forums showed that some other people have had this issue with select motherboards and it is because in the BIOS there is no setting to insert the RAID cards external bios into the boot chain. The card never gets initialized and it not even able to be used once inside Windows.
 
I am running bios 1.22 (latest) and cannot find any updates. I am hoping that either an expert will make the bios mod to support, or someone help explain how I can force the RAID card to initialize on this motherboard. Thank you everyone in advance!
