I've recently noticed that my 1080Ti is not clocking below 1500mhz even when I am ONLY on my desktop with nothing but Precision XOC open. This didn't happen before. My monitor is 2k 144hz and I found that switching it down to 120hz in the Nvidia Control Panel stopped the problem, however, that is an inconvenience because I forget to turn it back to 144hz when I start up my games again. I never had to do this before and my monitor has always been at 2k 144hz so I don't know why it's doing it now. If there is a different fix that doesn't involve changing the refresh rate I would appreciate it if anyone could help me out.

This has always been a problem for nvidia. Best thing to do would be to run 120hz on the desktop while setting your games to run at 144hz inside the graphics options for each game.

I had that the other day. Reinstalled drivers and XOC and it was fixed.
