Now, since I got this card (like a month ago) The performance has been less that usual in a lot of games. When I look at card benchmarks in games like GTA and SCUM I realise my card is totally running like crap. GTA 5 runs at 100fps at most in 1080p max and dips in the 50s in grassy areas which isn't right, I should be getting 144. Please help!

As we have no idea about your system other than you have a 1080 Ti, we've pretty much no idea of how to help you beyond checking the usual obvious things. I'd have you check using GPU-Z if your GPU is running at the correct PCIe link speed...but again...no idea about your system. Fill us in, thanks.

I'm not sure what my colleague recommended but if it was a performance check with 3Dmark's Firestrike that would definitely help to give us an idea of your system's performance.

Yeah, I have an i7 8700k, 16GB or DDR4 3200 MHZ and a 650 watt PSU if that helps. I'll just get my firestrike score now.

I have installed all Nvidia drivers and I just feel my card should be performing better, I have turned SSAO off in Nvidia control panel and turned off a lot of others and there is no performance improvement

Okay I got 22456 in 3dmark firestrike, I noticed that my combined score was at 9611, could it be my CPU that is the problem?

It is strange because this result is normal but in a lot of games it just performs like crap

Do you have any type of in game frame rate measurements you can post? Please include the name of the game.

Well, as I said in GTA 5 I get 70-100 fps in GTA 5 when I should be getting 144 constantly

Did you optimize your games with geforce experience? If yes, that is most likely your issue. Do you even have geforce experience installed? If yes, I would recommend uninstalling it as it has been known to cause issues.

In GTA 5 did you mess with the settings in the advanced graphics menu? If yes, set them back to default.

I would also recommend setting all your nvidia control panel settings back to default settings if you been messing around with them.

Hey Sajin. I have Geforce Experience yes, but I do record gameplays and stream with it so is there no other alternative?

Would live without geforce experience if uninstalling it fixed the problem for me. Uninstalling the software may/may not fix the issue for you.

I think the best example of this is We Happy Few. I look at benchmarks and they run much better than mine on the exact same settings and I'm just confused

What cpu do you have? What are your cpu temps & clocks when the card is underperforming? What are your gpu temps, clocks & usage when the card is underperforming?

Okay, what sort of software would I use to measure CPU temps. My CPU clock is at 4300mhz and my CPU is the i7 8700k. I don't know how to measure my GPU clocks and temps but on idle my GPU is at around 3% with just this tab open. My CPU is on 6. I have a temperature reader on my keyboard so that it changes colours when my temps are high or low so I know my temps are above or around 40 degrees celcius but  below 60 degrees celcius if that helps.

You can use core temp to monitor your cpu temps. You can use msi afterburner to monitor your gpu.

In  a game of We Happy Few, my keyboard goes red a lot so I know its around the late 50s-60 degree mark. but my CPU numbers are fairly low. My GPU is around 45- 60 percent
