Just got my card yesterday and heard the slave BIOS allows for a higher power target (127?).  My max is only 117 no matter what position the switch is.  Is there a way to check which BIOS is active to verify it's actually switching?  Maybe it didn't get flashed at the factory?  Thanks.

Did you Power Off the Computer before you moved the Bios Switch?

When switching bios, make sure you do a full shut down, power off, switch to slave, then restart. Use GPU-z to verify bios version on both switch positions.

If you switch without the restart, you wont see any change in precision x.

Yes I fully shut down the system before changing it.  Also using the latest version of Precision XOC.  On the slave right now I'm showing BIOS version 86.02.39.01.90 in gpuz.  I'll check the master later but can anyone confirm what version I should have?

.01.90 is the slave.

You may need to do the following to get everything working right...

#1 Uninstall precision xoc.
#2 Shutdown pc.
#3 Unplug pc from wall.
#4 Hold case power on button for 30 seconds.
#5 Plug pc back into wall.
#6 Turn on system, install precision xoc, reboot pc.

Should be good then.

Thank you Sajin that did it!  Funnily enough in Jayz2cents video on the FTW3 he mentioned the increased power target on the slave and showed his slider max to 117 too.  Guess he needs to visit this thread.

It is probably best practise to switch pc off first then flick the bios switch but tk be honest for me personally i just did it while pc was on then reboot and it worked fine.

All you get is another 10 percenton the power slider and 5 degrees on the.temp target

My card must be faulty. I followed the above steps. Uninstalled Precision XOC. Then I shutdown, unplugged from wall, and then switched to slave. Plugged back in, reinstalled Precision.... but I'm still capped to 117%. Same result after multiple restarts.

Also, every time I install Precision XOC, it screws up my Google Hangouts font (everything is bold).

Sounds like your card has two master vbios loaded on it. Contact evga to get the slave vbios.

brilliant! worked here as well :D ... just don't forget to reboot it on the end and you will be good.

Here is how it looked on my setup when I was capped at 117% PT on SLave BIOS as PXOC - reason is it was reading PT value from wrong (Master) vBIOS while GPU-Z was stating another (Slave) hence the problem.
And another after it is fixed.

EDIT:
Problem has been fixed in Evga Precision XOC by EVGA product development/engineering as below.

  • Adds new KINGPIN skin. You can select the new skin from Settings > Interface > Select Skin
  • Fix OSD font size and position not working in some 64bit applications.
  • Fix Power Target is not correct when switching BIOS's on dual BIOS graphics cards.
