Not a fan of this type of thing. It artificially keeps prices for games high and it doesn't benefit consumers what so ever. Divinity: Original Sins 2 is doing the same thing right now only being available via Steam and gog.com

The game is also available through Amazon. Though, you'll still obviously have to redeem the code through Battle.net, if you're a Prime Member, you get 20% off within the first two weeks after release. In addition to that, Amazon frequently has games cheaper than they would be on various digital store fronts after they've been out for a relatively short time.

Divinity Original Sin 2 is only $45 and is DRM free on GOG, the most consumer friendly thing they can do. I don't know what you're complaining about.
