Amazon (UK)- EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 "PRE-ORDERS"

So I've been in touch with Amazon UK for a while now and after weeks of going back and forth they've finally managed to give me an estimated shipping date of "9th June" lol. This is just an estimate however so it could take even longer. Now at this point I'm thinking what on earth even is the point of buying a 1080 Ti? might as well just wait it out a little longer and see what Vega and Volta brings to the market. Apparently Vega will be launched on the 5th June... so that gives me like 4-5 days to make a decision. If anyone else is in my boat let me know what you're thinking of doing? wait to receive your FTW3 from Amazon in June? or wait a little while longer and see what Vega/Volta brings? would be nice to hear a few opinions/views

    You'd be mad to wait that long for a GPU. That's an eternity in such a fast moving tech sector.
    Forget it, move on. As you said Vega is right around the corner and Volta has officially in the wild, not much longer before we start hearing of the 1180 and next Titan.

    I cancelled my FTW3 order anyway, just wanted to hear what others think.

    The EVGA EU shop Has the 1080 ti ftw3 in stock right now and last week for at least 3-4 days in stock it takes like 2 business days to ship from evga to UK so why preordering at amazon? For Vega it's the same like Ryzen... all the hype and then the 7700k kills it. Leaked datas showed that the VEGA cards are even with the 1080 more in between 1080 and 1080 ti for performance. As with most "high end" technology's just try to buy the best tech for now and purchase new technology every 2 years. That's how I do it 👍
