It's only a small price cut and only on the 1800X. More than likely it is another AMD incentive to switch consumers from Intel to AMD. No other AMD RYZEN chips are affected by the 1800X pricecut.

I wonder if they are going to give rebates or refunds?

I don't understand people who agree to purchase a product for x price, then feel entitled to a rebate when it inevitably drops in price in the future. Even if it was 24hrs after purchase I don't get it.

If it's really that big of a deal, buy from somewhere that guarantees this wont happen via third party. There are plenty of place that offer price protection where if you find it cheaper in 30 days they will write a check for the difference.

The truck before my current one I purchased and traded an old beat up 1500 for. Got $1000 in trade for the old truck. Next week they started a new deal of $3000 minimum trade and the duplicate of the new truck i bought was offered at the same price. Oddly enough I never felt cheated or asked them to write me a check for $2000. I agreed to a $1000 trade value.
