I have analog speakers, how do I get My X79 Dark to use them again???? The stupid audio drivers assume only Digital Speakers are available, how about a choice??? And can someone from EVGA tell Me how to get My sound back please??? I do not have any sound on My analog speakers, nor money to buy Digital speakers... I wish Realtek would stop ignoring analog speakers...

Change what Speakers the sound comes out.
When I update my Drivers it changes the out put to my Monitor and I have to change it back to Front Speakers.

What do you have selected under playback?
The same thing, only since I have Analog speakers, that are not Digital... Drivers think I have Digital, I do not... My speakers aren't the problem...

My speakers are plugged into the rear jacks, I rebooted, no change, the front jacks don't work yet, new cables need to be installed there.

Make sure you have speakers selected and not digital output selected in realtek software. You can also check playback sound settings. right click on the sound icon by the clock on the taskbar

I rolled back to the 2010 MS audio drivers, like others have done, and a reboot, nothing, not a damned thing, there is nothing to select.
Even when using Realteks...

I'm trying 2.73, 2.81 is a realtek disaster to Me, always realtek assumes, stupid morons...

Let Me guess, turn off the front panel detection?
Tried that, didn't work. I'm going to do another reset.

I'm not, oh I do get a response, bars on the speaker panel go up and down, just not thru the speakers, and I don't have any headsets, My speakers are fine, they do work, they are not broken.

All I get is digital, even though I have analog speakers, no sound comes out, I have seen no way to change from digital to analog, realtek seems to like being difficult.

1. I put the audio on front panel, while plugged into the rear(Motherboard location, green/audio output).
2. Where it says Advanced(Realtek HD Audio Manager), under recording device, I clicked on "separate all input jacks as independent input devices".
3. I have "Disable front panel jack detection" checked in that yellow folder, in the Realtek HD Audio Manager.
Now I have audio again, realtek really needs to work on their Realtek HD Audio Manager, no mention of analog at all, and having a setting for analog speakers or at least some sort of notes would help, a lot.
The setup sucks, since it's trial and error, I just did 1. - 3., by chance it worked.
So yeah this problem is solved, maybe this post can help others.

Sometimes when you update it will switch the audio to headset......It has done that to me on several occasions.
And yes it is aggravating
