I have an EVGA SC 17 1070 laptop, everything is great so far but the inbuilt WIFI has very weak coverage and unless i am in the room with the router i have to use a usb dongle instead for better coverage (im talking 2 walls away). Is this normal for the wifi adapter in these units or do i need to update my drivers?
 
Another question i have is, the USB 3.0 driver from the EVGA website wont install, are these important and do i need to get them from elsewhere? i have bught an asus usb 3.0 AC68 wifi adapter but it says my usb 3.0 drivers need to be updated

What type of WiFi standard does your router support? Do you know if it is 802.11n or 802.11ac? Also, it is a router and modem in one? Sometimes these are not the best to use as a router.
 
If you do not know, let us know what the model of the router is.

I have an Evga sc17 17.3" 4K Gaming laptop, I could not connect the Wifi with my laptop because of my cisco wifi router not working
for that I always get stuck in my internet connection. Please provide some relevant solution so that I can easily run my Wifi.
 

My SC17 1070 has always had poor connectivity, usually getting only 85% signal strength when sitting less than 3 feet from my hotspot/router. I believe it has to do with the thickness of the metal used in the screen assembly. If you sit with the screen facing your wifi source you willl see better signal levels. I even tried upgrading my wireless module from the default intel model this laptop ships with to no avail. Im now running the Killer Wireless AX1650 and getting nearly the same signal strengths as i was previously.

I agree, the SC17 has poor wifi reception and the bandwidth is unusually low.  That is my observation after testing at three different locations with 3 different routers.
 
The low bandwidth could be caused by a high error rate.  There must be something wrong with the antenna or case or interference or signal reflection or something.  I know that antennas are very easy to get subtly wrong.
