What differences are there between the G3 850 and the G2 850 becides the obv?

Been trying to decide whether to get the cheaper G2 or the G3. I am going for a Phanteks enthoo evolv as a case.

    G3 unit is 30mm shorter in length, it has newer tech. The efficiency is the same on both units.
     
    G2:
    Size: 85mm (H) x 150mm (W) x 180mm (L)
    efficiency: 90% (115VAC) / 92% (220VAC~240VAC) or Higher Typical
    Fan size / bearing: 140mm Double Ball Bearing
    Japanese Capacitors 100%
     
    G3:
    Size: 85mm (H) x 150mm (W) x 150mm (L)
    efficiency: 90% (115VAC) / 92% (220VAC~240VAC) or Higher Typical
    Fan size / bearing: 130mm Hydraulic Dynamic Bearing
    Japanese Capacitors 100%

    G2 are the Older Power Supplies and the G3 are the Newer Power Supplies Both are Gold Raided.

    November 8, 2016  -  Introducing the EVGA SuperNOVA G3 Power Supplies .
    One item I like about 850 G3 is that it shorting than the 850 G2 Model and the G3 has a different type of Fan. 
     
    On the G3 you will see EVGA on the fan blades.
    New are the EVGA SuperNOVA 850 and 750 G2L Power Supplies
     
    My Pick EVGA SuperNOVA 1300 G2
     
    With your Case I would go with the G3 850 or even the 1000, I forgot I have one.

    I think you made a typo, the G2 has the larger fan. 
     
    Both units are the same price on Amazon ($120). If one is cheaper than the other on your favorite retailer, go for it.

    Pretty much, both units have the same efficiency rating. If you can find one cheaper than the other, i would go for it, unless you really need a 30mm shorter power supply.

    G3 is the new model, a bit more efficient, smaller size. Go for G3 if you have the choice.

    Are the spec sheet not correct? Both units show "efficiency: 90% (115VAC) / 92% (220VAC~240VAC) or Higher Typical".
