Hello there, I've recently updated my build. Every component has worked correctly. I upgraded my GPU from a Radeon HD 7770 to the EVGA GTX 1050ti.
The fans all come on, but no signal to the monitor. I tried many methods short of changing PCIE slots. I put in my old GPU for kicks, and it worked. I used ATI man unsintaller to unistall all the old drivers, there should be no conflicts I can think of. I  also took out the card and used my mobo hdmi, it worked too.

What could the problem be? A faulty Card? Do I need to somehow install the drivers before installing the card? I can see no damage on the card whatsoever, the fan spins. For some reason I have a feeling it's a driver conflict still.

    Hello,

Are you able to see the bios screen with the 1050ti installed? If you cannot then it is not likely a software issue.

Are you able to test with any other display connection? When you plug in the HDMI to the 1050ti does any part of the HDMI input (metal) touch your case?

What motherboard do you have in that system? The GTX 1050 does require full UEFI support from the motherboard, and the motherboard may need a BIOS update to output through the GTX 1050.

    Welcome to the Forum Adowok,

Did you reset your Bios to the Optimized or Default Settings and update the Bios on your Motherboard? Do you have an AMD MB?
After you change cards out Reset your Bios one more time to force a PCIe Slot Read.
Before you removed your AMD GPU did you remove all the AMD Drivers and run DDU to clean out your OS?
If not you may need to at least Run DDU to Clean out your AMD Drivers. (Even if you used (The ATI man uninstaller))

No I'm not able to see the Bios Screen. I have, and same results on trying with other displays. In fact metal is actually touching part of the HDMI, that's something I didn't notice till now. I'll explore that.

    This is my motherboard.
I've updated the bios once recently, perhaps there is another update.

I'll certainly try out your suggests with the drivers, and try resetting the bios. My main problem is for me getting a display signal. Usually by default with any card it reverts to 800 x 600 till new drivers are installed. Unfortunately nothing yet!

Thank you all for your suggestions, I'll keep you all updated. If anymore ideas let me know, I'll be trying to fix this, and tell others what my problem was!

To update my problem, I got my card to get signal with the monitor. However I'm faced with a new problem, I got the drivers installed, did an extra sweep to make sure. I get inside, my screen resolution is fine, and my background is fine, everything seems normal till I open up an application. Then my monitor crashes, with lines flashing across the screen. I still believe it's a software issue, since I can leave it for periods of time, but as soon as I open up an application it crashes. I have no idea why. Hopefully you all have some ideas again! And by the way, it was the metal touching the hdmi that was the no signal problem, so thanks for that! :)

Time to test the other display outputs.

It does seem to be a monitor issue. Reinstalled the drivers again, all goes well, then after a few minutes when I click on something the screen just gets lines slowly enveloping it, even after I turn off power to the desktop. No crash, blue screen. I guess for whatever reason my monitor(2009 vizio digital tv) can't handle it, I'll look to see if I can get a newer monitor.
