1080ti Hybrid SC2 fan replace with push/pull, Amp/watt limit?

Hey everyone. So I know the 1080ti Hybrid SC2 uses a 3pin connector (but only uses 2 wires), please correct me if I'm wrong. 
 
Here is my plan. I'd like to use a splitter to get two fans off that control to do a push pull config. However, I don't know what the amp/watt max is for this fan. Anyone know?
 
I'd suspect it's the typical 1A, 12W, like most AIO coolers, but with it being a gpu, I've no idea.
 
Would it be safe to do what I'm thinking of doing, and if so, what fans would you recommend?

    Thank you. I've seen some advice saying it's better to run the fans off a mobo header, as the gpu will just run it at a constant 70%.. is this true?

    The pump itself uses 7.5W, so figure that into any calculations you need to make.
     
    The only info I was able to find was what EKWB recommends on their GPU fan adapter cables: "Power limitation of the fan connector found on modern graphics cards is limited to 2 amperes!"
