hi! so i bought a shiny new 1080 ftw from amazon and received it almost three weeks ago. it was from the new fresh batch from after november 1st that includes all the fixings. i noticed from looking at it, and comparing to photos and videos from the thermal mod, that the pads on the vrms on my 1080 ftw are smaller than what evga is sending out for the diy thermal pad mod. in comparison the new pads for the vram chips on my 1080 ftw from what i can tell appear to be identical to the new pads they are shipping out for the diy. is there any particular reason why the pads on the new reversions for the vrms are smaller? does it affect thermal performance in comparison to the bigger pads?

here's a photo i took of my 1080 ftw to show what the pads look like:

When they try to find o solution at the first days, the install of pads was rough and cover also the chokes which no need (if you talk about the pad on baseplate), they follow the install of alternate (bellow photo) method which at my opinion it's more correct and I follow the same method.
