I ordered the thermal pads but I have zero experience with GPU customization so I'm concerned I might damage it while applying the mod. How do I request a replacement card? Also, what's the timeframe between me sending off the card to getting the replacement? I gave my old card away and would be without a working PC until the new card arrives.

You should check around were you live for some Computer Stores. (Not Best Buy)
And see if they would install them for you.
I take it that you are not having any issues or problems of your card, Correct?
