Hello all!

I'm hesitating to buy a EVGA 1070 FTW hybrid.

Can someone who bought it help me to decide?
( PROS / CONS )
Is it ok for 1440p ?
What about memory? (micron?)
Is there noise?
Are fans off when gpu is sleeping?

I hesitate because I can buy it for 500€ but the first custom price for a 1080 is 600€ (KFA2/ GALAX EXOC) which is not a big difference and more powerfull card.

BUT I'm in-love with the 1070 hybrid design.

I actually have a MSI 970 gaming and I've always wanted to try EVGA.

Thanks !

My use case is a little different than yours, because I don't game.  I have two 1070 FTW Hybrids that I fold with.  They have been running constantly for about a week now and are very quiet.  My room isn't perfectly quiet, so I'm sure there is some noise, I just don't notice it.
They hum along at about 45C.
One has Micron RAM, and I updated the BIOS in that card before I really started using it.  It's run great, but I haven't tried OC'ing it.
Given how loud and hot my 980ti runs, I'm sticking with Hybrids from now on.

Good luck with your decision.
