I just bought a coolermaster sl600m case for better cooling. When transferring parts over I discovered my 1080ti's thermal pads were oozing ridiculous amounts of silicone. So much that the goldfingers are soaked and its inside the motherboard PCI-e slots as well.
 
I am told this silicon goo is non-conductive but this can't be good. For starters it looks bad. Secondly dust sticks and does not come off with compressed air. 
 
Should I RMA both cards or am I going to end up with the same problem in 6 months? Or would I be better off cleaning with isopropyl alcohol and replacing thermal pads with higher quality ones that don't leak?

Thanks. Do you know the correct pad thickness for the FTW3? I think i saw somewhere it uses a combination of 1mm and 1.5mm pads.
