Is that true? I can't see EVGA only sending these cards to Micro Center. They don't have stores in many places. I'm sure they will be available elsewhere. If not someone correct me, I just can't believe that.

Send a cashier check or cash to someone trust worthy on here and they just might. Don't be offering paypal since you could essentially stiff them for their good deed. I would do it for you if I had a Micro Center near me with a small service fee for gas/time.

If the closest microcenter wasn't 2.5 hours away, one way, I would go. If I get a trip to DC soon, I will grab you one.

It seems from checking around that Microcenter is the only place to get a classified (right now). But I would highly suggest that people just buy a different variation of the card. The classified isn't much but a bigger heatsink/cooler that just dumps heat back into your case. Get whatever card is available and you will be happy. The 1080 performs great with any cooler. If you are going with SLI you don't want cards without external exhaust anyway. It sucks that Nvidia has enacted a "reference tax" with the founders edition, but it really performs great and with a custom fan curve you can really get a lot out of these cards. My founders cards OC as high as they are going to go with the reference cooler anyway. Heat is not the limiting factor. "GPU boost" is

If I purchase one, depending on your city, I will hand deliver it to you. All the way to... not your front door, but to the airport only. And only if the airline I work for flies there. I'm from NYC so NYC tax will have to be included.

EDIT: I live by 3 microcenter. 4 if I pay tolls. All within 45 minutes one way.

The one close to me (Baltimore Towson) is pathetic. They bring few cards that are sold out the same day(hour). When I lived close to the Cincinnati one it was heaven on earth in everything.

The thing is, only the gtx 1080 classy can be held for in store pick up.  So I can always reserve it then go get them without the rush or the thought of it being sold.

Not sure why you cannot purchase the classy on EVGA's website but Microcenter has it in stock. That's like Amazon selling a Kindle and only being able to purchase it from Walmart first, does not make much sense to me.

You're not the only one waiting for Evga to sell it. Even Moderators have to wait like everyone else.        

My classified doesn't dump heat in my case, any card you oc will get hotter than factory clocks and boost clocks but maybe my case doesn't get hot because all my case fans have been replaced with new ML series fans expensive but worth it! including the h100i v2

I have a 1080 Classy in an Obsidian 350D case.  Hottest it gets on the default fan profile while gaming is mid 60s C

The heat from the card has to go somewhere and the non external exhaust cards dump the heat right into your case. Usually not a big deal if you run one card and have a decent air flow case.
