Hi everyone, Yesterday i bought the GTX 1050ti EVGA SC, i installed it into the PCI Slot fine booted it up with the latest drivers but the fan didn't come on at 45c in Idle, which is normal. But when i play Cities skylines, Overwatch, Rocket League e.t.c The fan dosen't come on at above 75c!
Hottest its gotten is 88c on Overwatch due to the fan not turning on.
I have tried Evga Precision XOC changed the Curve and temp to Max, No difference. tried different PCI, No difference. Tried previous Drivers, No difference.
I Think the Card is faulty even tho it is brand new from CCL Computers! I'm planning to get a replacement but the last thing i can think is the Hardware issue?

About the only thing you can do is check to make sure the fan connector is seated fully on the GPU. Other than that, there's not much else that can go wrong that is correctable by you...in other words, given what you tried, and RMA is your solution.

Thank you for the quick reply. The 1050ti EVGA Sc fan connector seems to be fine. I just believe it could be a faulty card, but how could it if it’s brand new? Is it worth getting a replacement

My first 1050 Ti had the same problem of the fan being nonfunctional but the RMA replacement unit has not let me down and continues to run as expected.

I have 3 of these cards and had no problems on 2 different computers (1050Ti FTW) and I run them 24/7 crunching [link=mailto:set@home]set@home[/link] and [link=mailto:folding@home]folding@home[/link] so RMA it of it is a EVGA card. I blow up one and I told them it was my fault and they replaced it anyway, GO EVGA!!!

Dear JoelEvga,
You may want to try and remove the card from the PCIE slot when the system is off and reinstall the card. If the issue persists please try the card in a different PCIE slot or test the unit on a different system. IF you are unable to test the card further please let us know in order to support you with replacement options.
